Quality of Life

Te Roopu Taurima aims to provide its mokopuna with quality of life so they can live as individuals with a range of choices that lead to self-empowerment through the concept of tikanga Maori values and principles. Cultural support is provided through our kaumatua, whaea and kaimahi and through the local kaumatua kuia.

Whanau contact and participation in decision making is actively sought, encouraged and maintained. Mokopuna lives are enriched with whanau and community involvement. As a Residential Intellectual Disability Support Agency Service (RIDSAS) we are contracted to provide services to people who:

• Have an intellectual disability (must be primary diagnosis of illness)
• Are 18 years of age and over
